Al cierre del a\u00f1o, represent\u00f3 el 50% de las toneladas exportadas por nuestro pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Durante estos dos \u00faltimos a\u00f1os el comercio exterior v\u00eda mar\u00edtima ha estado disminuyendo, tanto en toneladas transferidas como su monto en USD, exceptuando los graneles s\u00f3lidos. Si bien estos \u00faltimos han aumentado las toneladas transferidas, han disminuido su valor en USD.<\/p>\n<p>En el a\u00f1o 2020 se observ\u00f3 una baja del 8,27% en el valor de nuestro comercio exterior, lo que se explica por una ca\u00edda en la carga general, que representa el 60,4% del valor total de nuestras exportaciones e importaciones, siendo tambi\u00e9n la principal demanda de los puertos m\u00e1s importantes de nuestro sistema portuario.<\/p>\n<p>En este periodo, la carga general disminuy\u00f3 su valor en 8,58% respecto al a\u00f1o 2019. Adem\u00e1s, las toneladas totales transferidas cayeron en 3,95%. La disminuci\u00f3n de la transferencia de carga general, que corresponde al tipo de carga que utiliza contenedores, implic\u00f3 que en este a\u00f1o 2020 el movimiento de contenedores (TEUs) a nivel nacional cayera en 8,1% con respecto al a\u00f1o 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Lo anterior es consistente con la menor actividad del comercio exterior. En el mismo per\u00edodo han disminuido en 5,7% los TEUs asociados a la importaci\u00f3n de productos, en 8,3% los TEUs asociados a las exportaciones y en 18,2% los TEUs de cargas en tr\u00e1nsito.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>1. Tendencia de los \u00faltimos 6 a\u00f1os<\/h1>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Durante los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os hab\u00edamos evidenciado un aumento progresivo del movimiento de carga de comercio exterior. Sin embargo esa tendencia cambi\u00f3 a partir de 2019. En efecto, durante estos dos \u00faltimos a\u00f1os nuestro comercio exterior ha disminuido, tanto en toneladas transferidas de graneles l\u00edquidos, carga refrigerada y general, como tambi\u00e9n en su monto en USD. Sin embargo, los graneles s\u00f3lidos representan s\u00f3lo el 21,8% del valor de nuestro comercio exterior. La transferencia de graneles s\u00f3lidos (miner\u00eda, cereales, etc.) se efect\u00faa en terminales altamente especializados que se ubican, en general, fuera de los principales puertos de nuestro sistema portuario.<\/p>\n<p>La baja de 8,27% en el valor de nuestro comercio exterior se explica por la carga general, que representa el 60,4% del valor total de nuestro comercio exterior, la cual disminuy\u00f3 su valor en 8,58% respecto al a\u00f1o 2019. Adem\u00e1s de la baja en valor, la carga general disminuy\u00f3 3,95% en las toneladas totales transferidas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Si se analizan los \u00faltimos 6 a\u00f1os (ver Figura N\u00b01), se observa que en el a\u00f1o 2020 la carga exportada (ton) aument\u00f3 en 1,6% respecto de 2015, mientras que la carga importada (ton) creci\u00f3 en 4,8% en igual per\u00edodo. En t\u00e9rminos de carga total transferida, esto es, exportaciones m\u00e1s importaciones, la carga movilizada aument\u00f3 en 3,1%.<\/p>\n<p>Si efectuamos la misma comparaci\u00f3n para el valor en USD (ver Figura 2), se observa que los montos en USD asociados a los productos importados han disminuido en 6,8%, mientras que los exportados1 han aumentado en 8,5%. Para el intercambio comercial total (importaciones + exportaciones), se observa un aumento de 1,7% entre los a\u00f1os 2015 y 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Al analizar la misma informaci\u00f3n para la carga general, tanto en toneladas (ver Figura 3) como en USD (ver Figura 4) la situaci\u00f3n es diferente. En ambos casos se evidencia una baja, tanto para las importaciones como para las exportaciones, medidas en toneladas como en USD. En efecto, al comparar los vol\u00famenes (ton) entre los a\u00f1os 2020 y 2015, las importaciones de carga general han tenido un descenso de 6,0%, mientras que las exportaciones han descendido 7,3%. El mismo ejercicio en USD indica que las importaciones han reducido su valor en 6,3% en tanto las exportaciones lo han hecho en 7,9%.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>2. Variaci\u00f3n Comex, 2020 vs. 2019<\/h1>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Si se compara los a\u00f1os 2019 y 2020, se observa que las toneladas totales transferidas aumentaron en 0,8 millones. La baja en el valor total de nuestro comercio exterior se explica por la carga general, que disminuy\u00f3 en MMUSD 5.782.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>3. Variaci\u00f3n Exportaciones, 2020 vs. 2019<\/h1>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Entre los a\u00f1os 2019 y 2020, la carga total exportada aument\u00f3 en 3,7 millones de toneladas, explicada fundamentalmente por un mayor volumen de graneles s\u00f3lidos. Los productos con mayores variaciones entre ambos periodos fueron los minerales de hierro y sus concentrados, que subieron en 7,2 millones de toneladas, y la exportaci\u00f3n de abonos minerales o qu\u00edmicos pot\u00e1sicos que aumentaron en 0,2 millones de toneladas. Por otra parte, la sal disminuy\u00f3 en 2,6 millones de toneladas y la le\u00f1a, aserr\u00edn, briquetas y pellets disminuyeron en 0,6 millones de toneladas.<\/p>\n<p>En el caso del valor total de las exportaciones, \u00e9stas cayeron en MMUSD 583, lo que se explica principalmente por una baja en el valor de la carga general. Los productos con mayores variaciones entre ambos periodos fueron el ma\u00edz que baj\u00f3 en MMUSD 669, la pasta qu\u00edmica de madera a la soda o sulfato que cay\u00f3 en MMUSD 666 y los ba\u00fales y maletas que presentaron una baja de MMUSD 354. Sin embargo, los minerales de hierro y sus concentrados registraron un alza de MMUSD 837, mientras que el cobre refinado y aleaciones de cobre aumentaron en MMUSD 412 y el cobre sin refinar (\u00e1nodos de cobre) subi\u00f3 en MMUSD 387.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>4. Variaci\u00f3n Importaciones, 2020 vs. 2019<\/h1>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Durante este periodo la carga total importada disminuy\u00f3 en 2,86 millones de toneladas, explicada principalmente por una disminuci\u00f3n de los graneles l\u00edquidos. Los productos que presentaron las mayores bajas fueron los aceites crudos de petr\u00f3leo, con una ca\u00edda de MMUSD 1.855; los autom\u00f3viles de turismo y dem\u00e1s veh\u00edculos, con una disminuci\u00f3n de MMUSD 1.752; y los aceites de petr\u00f3leo con una disminuci\u00f3n de MMUSD 1.270. Como contrapartida, los productos que presentaron las mayores alzas fueron los motores y generadores, con un aumento de MMUSD 676, los grupos electr\u00f3genos que subieron en MMUSD 614 y las l\u00e1mparas y tubos el\u00e9ctricos, que aumentaron en MMUSD 227.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>5. Actividad en Puertos Nacionales, 2020 vs. 2019<\/h1>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En la tabla N\u00b09 siguiente se indican las toneladas Comex movilizadas durante los a\u00f1os 2019 y 2020, diferenciadas por tipo de carga, para 17 localidades portuarias, que representan el 72% de las toneladas totales de nuestro comercio exterior. El resto de los puertos se indica como \u201cResto Puertos\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Los puertos que presentaron un mayor aumento de su actividad durante el a\u00f1o 2020 respecto del a\u00f1o anterior, exceptuando al puerto de Huasco3, son Puerto Montt, Arica y Penco, que aumentaron las toneladas totales transferidas en 57%, 36% y 14%, respectivamente. El mayor aumento que present\u00f3 Puerto Montt se asocia al granel s\u00f3lido, mientras que el incremento de Arica y Penco se asocia a la carga general.<\/p>\n<p>Como contrapartida, los puertos que m\u00e1s disminuyeron su actividad en igual per\u00edodo fueron Antofagasta, Coquimbo y Talcahuano, que bajaron las toneladas totales transferidas en 16%, 13% y 13%, respectivamente. La disminuci\u00f3n de Antofagasta y Coquimbo se asocia a una baja en la Carga General, mientras que Talcahuano se debe a una ca\u00edda en los graneles l\u00edquidos.<\/p>\n<p>En la tabla N\u00b010 se indica, para las mismas 17 localidades portuarias, el valor en MMUSD de las toneladas transferidas, por tipo de carga. Los puertos con un mayor aumento porcentual en el valor de la carga transferida fueron Puerto Montt, Penco y Arica con un alza de 41%, 33% y 18%, respectivamente. Estas alzas est\u00e1n asociadas al aumento de la carga general en el caso de Arica, mientras que el aumento de Puerto Montt y Penco se debe principalmente a los graneles s\u00f3lidos.<\/p>\n<p>Con respecto a las principales bajas porcentuales de la carga transferida valorizada en MMUSD, \u00e9stas se produjeron en Talcahuano, Antofagasta y Valpara\u00edso, los cuales disminuyeron en 41%, 24%y 23%, respectivamente. exportadas fueron Caldera, Guayac\u00e1n (Resto Puertos) y Puerto Montt, que aumentaron en 919,8 mil, 557,8 mil y 331,4 mil toneladas, respectivamente. Los productos que tuvieron las mayores alzas en la localidad de Caldera fueron los minerales de hierro y sus concentrados, con un aumento de 1,1 millones de toneladas. Por su parte, Guayac\u00e1n destac\u00f3 por un alza en la exportaci\u00f3n de minerales de hierro y sus concentrados, con un aumento de 557,8 mil toneladas, mientras que Puerto Montt report\u00f3 su mayor alza a trav\u00e9s de la exportaci\u00f3n de le\u00f1a, aserr\u00edn, briquetas y pellets, con un aumento de 347 mil toneladas.<\/p>\n<p>Con respecto a la ca\u00edda en las toneladas de exportaci\u00f3n, destaca Patillos (Resto Puertos), San Vicente y Calbuco (Resto Puertos), que presentaron una disminuci\u00f3n de 739,5 mil, 598,9 mil y 346,8 mil toneladas, respectivamente. En Patillos disminuy\u00f3 la exportaci\u00f3n de sal en 740 mil toneladas. Por su parte, en San Vicente, los productos que presentaron mayores bajas en las toneladas exportadas fueron la pasta qu\u00edmica de madera a la soda\/sulfato que disminuy\u00f3 en 520 mil toneladas y la le\u00f1a, aserr\u00edn, briquetas y pellets que cayeron en 259 mil toneladas. En Puerto Montt el alza se relaciona con el aumento de importaciones de ma\u00edz que aumentaron en 42 mil toneladas y las hullas, briquetas y combustibles s\u00f3lidos, que aumentaron en 33 mil toneladas, mientras que en San Vicente sus principales alzas corresponden a aceites de petr\u00f3leo y gas de petr\u00f3leo, con aumentos de 574,4 y 61,9 mil toneladas, respectivamente. Con respecto a Tocopilla, destaca el aumento de hullas, briquetas y combustibles s\u00f3lidos en 95,1 mil toneladas.<\/p>\n<p>Con respecto a las principales bajas en toneladas importadas, se concentran en las localidades portuarias de Quintero, Talcahuano y Valpara\u00edso, que disminuyeron 1,1 millones, 0,9 millones y 0,4 millones de toneladas, respectivamente. Los productos que tuvieron las mayores bajas en Quintero y Talcahuano fueron los aceites crudos de petr\u00f3leo, con una ca\u00edda de 0,7 y 0,8 millones de toneladas, respectivamente y los aceites de petr\u00f3leo, con una baja de 0,7 y 0,3 millones de toneladas, respectivamente. 2019, lo cual es consistente con la menor actividad de comercio exterior detallada en los puntos anteriores, especialmente con la ca\u00edda en la transferencia de carga general, que corresponde al tipo de carga que utiliza contenedores.<\/p>\n<p>En igual per\u00edodo, han disminuido en 5,7% los TEUs asociados a la importaci\u00f3n de productos, en un 8,3% los TEUs asociados a las exportaciones En estas dos macrozonas se encuentran ubicados los principales puertos especializados en transferencia de contenedores. Al comparar los a\u00f1os 2019 y 2020 se observa que los 5 primeros lugares, China, EE.UU. Jap\u00f3n, Brasil y Corea del Sur, han mantenido su posici\u00f3n. El l\u00edder indiscutido, tanto para el 2019 y 2020 es China, con una participaci\u00f3n porcentual del 40% y del 50%, respectivamente.<\/p>\n<p>Las principales alzas en las exportaciones se observan para China, con un aumento de 7,9 millones de toneladas y para Brasil, con un aumento de 378 mil toneladas. Con respecto a las bajas en toneladas exportadas, se observa una ca\u00edda de 1,5 millones de toneladas para EE.UU. y 1,4 millones de toneladas para Canad\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>En la tabla N\u00b018 se puede observar el ranking para los a\u00f1os 2019 y 2020 de USD de exportaci\u00f3n transferidos por v\u00eda mar\u00edtima. De igual forma que en la tabla N\u00b017, el ranking es liderado por los mismos 5 pa\u00edses, ocupando China el primer lugar con un porcentaje de participaci\u00f3n de 44% y 42% para los a\u00f1os 2019 y 2020, respectivamente.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Las principales alzas en el valor de la carga exportada se observan para China, con un aumento de MMUSD 3.497 y para Brasil con un alza de MMUSD 67. S\u00edntesis<\/h1>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A nivel agregado, al comparar los a\u00f1os 2020 y 2019, se registra un aumento en la carga movilizada en toneladas de 0,73%, y en el intercambio comercial, una baja en MMUSD de 8,27%. El aumento de las toneladas totales est\u00e1 explicado por los graneles s\u00f3lidos, que representan el 51% del volumen total de nuestro comercio exterior, que subieron en 8,98% respecto a igual periodo del a\u00f1o 2019. Sin embargo, s\u00f3lo representan el 21,8% del valor de nuestro comercio exterior.<\/p>\n<p>La ca\u00edda de 8,27% en el valor de nuestro comercio exterior se explica por la carga general, que representa el 60,4% del valor total de nuestro comercio exterior, la cual disminuy\u00f3 su valor en 8,58% respecto al a\u00f1o 2019.
